The short version
- Necessary — always on (consent record, theme, preferences, poll voting).
- Vercel Web Analytics — always on. Cookieless page stats only (no cookies on your device).
- Analytics and session recordings — off until you opt in (PostHog + GA4, including session replay).

These keep the product working. They don’t need consent.

Cookieless Vercel Web Analytics
Always on. Vercel’s Web Analytics does not set cookies on your device. It collects basic page-view style metrics to keep the product useful. It is privacy-friendly and cookieless, but not fully anonymous (technical data such as IP may still reach Vercel).
Analytics and session recordings

Session recordings capture how the page is used (clicks, scrolling, layout). Typed values in form fields are masked. We mark poll voter name chips to keep them out of recordings where we can; other names on the page may still appear.
