Cookie policy

This page explains how BadmintonBooker uses cookies and similar storage (like local storage and session storage) on your device. For the wider picture, see our privacy policy.

The short version
- Necessary : always on (consent record, theme, preferences, poll voting).
- Cookieless page stats : on unless you switch them off (Vercel Web Analytics, plus PostHog in cookieless mode). No cookies or other lasting storage on your device, and no session recordings.
- Analytics and session recordings : off until you opt in (PostHog + GA4, including session replay).
Strictly necessary
These keep the product working. They don’t need consent.

Cookieless page stats
On unless you switch them off, including if you choose “Reject cookies”, because these use none. Two services do this: Vercel Web Analytics and PostHog in cookieless mode. Between them they count page views and a few product events (such as a search starting), with no cookies, no local or session storage, no device or session ID, no profile, no session recording, and no autocapture of page content.
They store nothing lasting on your device, but they do read basic technical details (screen size, browser, language) and your IP reaches the provider, so they are cookieless, not fully anonymous. We rely on the statistical-purposes exception in PECR and on legitimate interests under UK GDPR, rather than consent.
To object, switch Cookieless page stats off in , or turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. We detect either and stop both services. Questions? Email hello@studiotom.co.uk.
Analytics and session recordings

Session recordings capture how the page is used (clicks, scrolling, layout). Typed values in form fields are masked. We mark poll voter name chips to keep them out of recordings where we can; other names on the page may still appear.
